Friday March 4, 7-9 pm – Lunaria welcomes 3 new artists to their group. Jane Godfrey has been making glass artwork for more than 40 years. Her stained & kiln-formed glass is inspired by natural and organic shapes. Helen Nute Wiens is a jeweler and silversmith and will be presenting her new “Silver Branches” series featuring hand-forged, delicately textured pieces using themes of leaves and flowers. Tonya Smithburg paints in bright colors and sculpts. Figures & animals inspire her stylized realism.

Calusa Studio will be in the Black, White & Gray Show at the Enid Joy Mount Gallery in Keizer during the month of November. I found out today that the two pendants that I submitted to the gallery were both selected for the show! I'm very excited. The artist reception is Saturday from 5-8pm - it's open to the public ...and I'd love to see you out there. Attire is black, white & gray. The exhibit will be there all month.

I created this 'Daisy' for my Wildflower Series from a beautiful Ocean Jasper cab. I set it in sterling silver using a scalloped bezel and made the little 'petals' from sterling also. It's dainty but substantial at the same time. I have another Ocean Jasper cab that I'm going to design a setting for over the next week. The stone is vastly different in color from this one - I can't wait to get started on it!
